365 Writing Prompts

to help you improve your craft

So, it turns out that you have to actually write if you want to finish your book. Gosh, darn it. Who knew? Hehe.

We all knew, but we still try to convince ourselves that there’s some secret system or magic device we need that’ll make it easier. Words are all we need. Preferably on the page in some kind of order. It’s that simple.

In this workbook are 365 writing prompts. How you use them is up to you, but at the beginning of every month, you will find a suggestion, an extra challenge if you will, that will encourage you to work on specific aspects of the craft.

Let’s practise

January: Setting up a daily practice
February: Using prompts to ‘change’ your writing
March: Writing scenes
April: Writing dialogue
May: Viewpoint
June: Show, don’t Tell
July: Changing pace
August: Creating characters
September: Creating a setting
October: Conflict
November: Description
December: Your next year
